Case Study of Intelligent Construction of Audio and Video System in Beijing Daxing Airport Operation Command Center

Airport Overview


Beijing Daxing International Airport, a modern airport that started construction on December 26, 2014 and officially opened on September 25, 2019, meets the huge demand of 72 million passengers, 2 million tons of cargo and mail, and 620000 aircraft takeoffs and landings by 2025 with its magnificent terminal building and four runways.


Background analysis of implementation


The large screen display systems used in most domestic airports have become outdated, mainly relying on LED light sources and UHP bulb light sources for rear projection splicing screens. These systems not only have high energy consumption and large heat dissipation, but also have poor display effects. At the same time, the console seat system still remains at the design level of office furniture, lacking international professional certification standards. Some newly developed domestic professional console designs mainly rely on imitation, and overall it is still in the stage of catching up with international advanced levels. In addition, the conference system urgently needs to be upgraded to adapt to the constantly changing needs of consultation and communication. At the same time, the level of intelligence in audio and video signal control and central control systems also needs to be further improved.

● Innovation in audio and video systems
The conference system plays a crucial role in the daily operation command and emergency response of airports. In order to meet the needs of different levels and topics, a complete and user-friendly meeting system is particularly important, as it can effectively improve the efficiency of communication and consultation. The comprehensive consultation room of the Daxing Airport Operations Command Center is a typical case. On the basis of traditional conference systems, the center has introduced wireless screen casting technology. Through a simple wireless mobile screen casting terminal, the video signal of the laptop can be easily projected onto the large screen display and control system without the need for cumbersome video adapters, greatly improving the convenience and efficiency of consultations. At the same time, the application of conference audio and video recording and intelligent speech recognition technology enables real-time collection and conversion of participants' speech content into text for display, as well as the generation of meeting minutes, greatly facilitating the work of conference recorders.

 
● Seat Collaboration System
The seat collaboration system plays a crucial role in the construction of modern command centers. This system not only pursues intelligence and efficiency, but also fully considers the concept of ergonomics, aiming to create a comfortable and efficient working environment for operation and management personnel. Through the application of fiber optic KVM technology, the seat collaboration system not only improves the transmission speed of audio and video signals, but also achieves the physical separation of keyboard, mouse, monitor and PC host, thereby simplifying the operation and maintenance process of PC host and truly achieving the goal of virtualization management. In addition, the system also allows command personnel to easily operate multiple terminals through a set of mouse and keyboard, and can switch between different PC hosts at any time to display the required information system interface, greatly improving work efficiency.

 
● Equipment management and coordination
With the increasing functionality and performance of the command center's audio-visual system, the scale of subsystems and the types and quantities of equipment involved have also significantly increased, posing new challenges to the efficient use and management of system equipment. Daxing Airport has cleverly solved this problem by introducing a centralized control system. This system combines embedded software development technology and tightly integrates software systems with hardware control devices. It uses control signal interfaces such as IP, RS232/422/485, infrared, IO, etc. to easily connect various controlled devices to the central control host. More conveniently, commanders can centrally control and manage various audio and video devices through tablets, greatly improving the convenience of use.
